Have never thought about no e’s, specifically. Hmmmm..

My Mom often laments center letters.

It hasn’t occurred to me to focus on such things - I’m distracted enough!

I used hints for the last word and got QB. Never would have got it otherwise.

this is true.

I won't give them away (although I'm sure anyone reading this already knows what they are), but today's puzzle has a couple of my nominations for most often-occurring SB words.

For sure! I got that in a second! Plus I was just in Florida...

Just got QB with a ridiculous guess on a four-letter word.

Needed a hint for the last word. "Fief". Should have got it without a hint.

My word was Teff. Never heard of it.

never heard of it either...it was my only missing word yesterday

I got teff. I am fairly certain they disallowed it before. So maybe they are learning. 

I object to novena not being on the list today, but I won't write. It doesn't help.

Yup on novena as well as the futility of writing in.

Agree about teff being disallowed before.  A pleasant surprise to see it go through this time.

I agree with you on "novena"! I used to write in with valid words they did not allow, but I've given up on that. 

First QB in a while today. I’d started to wonder whether I’d ever get there again!

Got it today with the help of the SB Buddy.
