So, what say you about grown-up, professional behavior?

It would be nice to have a President again who shows some.

What a stupid response.  Trump is on tape admitting that he didn't want to give out accurate information about the pandemic.  That cartoon is especially insulting to anyone who knows someone who died of Covid-19.

Is that what the Planet Nars looks like?

This thread was inspired as a tribute to Justice Ginsburg. It rapidly became politicized and crude. I watched and read several news accounts of the bond between Justice Scalia and Justice Ginsburg, no matter their differing viewpoints over the years. They were colleagues. When I saw the cartoon of heavenly friendship, I thought it  a lovely image. I was sadly alone.

When I saw yet another news account on their comradeship,  with that funny picture of the two up on top an elephant, I posted it.

How immature, and disrespectful to both  Justices.

This thread was started three nights before you posted in it.

I suspect this post, the one starting the thread, was political.

Have I ever called anyone’s thoughts “stupid” on this board in a response?  Never, over the many years of jousting. Yet you, and others,  feel obliged to try to demean me every chance you get. Is it fear?

Mr. Nohero, it may behoove you to reread your own comments. You will find many instances wherein you state that my responses are “insulting”.  Not “opposing,”  which is normal in politics, but, worthy of censure, even!

As you well know, I have three family members who survived COVID-19, and an in-law who died.

Mitch McConnell politicized RBG's death immediately. Her body was probably still literally not cold when he released a statement.  Everything you accuse people here and Democrats in general of doing, are the types of acts that the Republicans are guilty of, except usually 1,000 times worse.

The response I commented on had the words "take care" and a cartoon from this past July that mocked people concerned about the pandemic and Trump's response to it.

That is stupid.  That's a mild description of something so uncaring and insulting.  I am aware that your family was affected by Covid-19, so it's baffling why you post about it like that.

[Edited to add] That same cartoonist, the week before, mocking efforts to get people to wear masks.  He calls it the "Covid-19 flu".  He insults the memories of anyone who died from this disease.

No, you have different techniques, such as deliberately "misunderstanding" what someone wrote, or just ignoring them after they point out your use of a questionable source.

[Edited to add] Shoulda done the word search, but Mr. Basil took care of it, below -

One of the many things that you don't understand is that you have lost the priveledge of coming here and preaching heavenly friendship.  You are a vile, inhuman creature.

Just wanted to repost your opinion. Perhaps it was overlooked by others here. This is typical sample of many multiple attempts to kill the messenger (me)!

Scary people ...

This category is "All Politics".

If someone wanted to discuss Justice Ginsburg in a non-political context they could have started a thread in a different category. But I am not sure how the discussion of the death of a sitting Supreme Court Justice could not be political, particularly when it occurs during a Presidential Election.

Non-political post -

Justice Ginsburg's trainer pays his respects this morning at the Capitol.

Political post -

Republicans being Republican (i.e., partisan a-holes).

I think it is better if they don't show up, they are about to destroy her legacy

May her memory be for a blessing.

Good grief, they couldn't suck it up and attend?

I'm sure if they were jeered Hannity would have turned it into a rant about the radical left protestors threatening their lives with cleverly edited video.

The woman who sang at the service today,Denyce Graves, had one of the most beautiful voices I have ever heard. She's a mezzo-soprano and has sung at the Met.
