as far as Republicans are concerned this is NOT a fail. Their underlying motive in throwing this **** at the wall on Biden and Mayorkas is to turn impeachment into just another example of partisanship. Ultimately the average voter will start to believe all impeachments are bogus, regardless of the circumstances. They tried to get people to think Trump's impeachments were nothing more than partisan power plays from Democrats. And many people did believe that.
Now they follow it up with fraudulent impeachment hearings, further degrading the process. If a Republican is ever impeached for a real cause, lots of voters will just tune it out as partisan noise.

They had to rush to do it, as one Democratic representative was absent due to Covid, and another was winning his election last night, to replace George Santos.
What happened to the impeachment inquiry for Biden? Did Republicans realize it would never pass and move on to Mayorkas?
I had to refresh myself on what happened in the house. I guess they did vote to impeach on their second try.

Again - I think republicans will get crushed on this. But I'm sure both sides will get their proper sound bites to broadcast to their selected bubble.
For me - it comes down to what republicans will stand up against this nonsense? any?
