FYI since posting this I've spoken to a number of SoMa people, some on Facebook (Soma Lounge), who have had positive experiences with Carvana, for both EVs and ICEs.
I looked at them when I was in the market, but ultimately went with a dealership. Not fun, but ultimately saved $2-3000.00 compared to Carvana prices for same car, trim line, mileage etc.
The last time I bought a car, we used the Costco service and it worked out well. But that was almost ten years ago, so I can't vouch for the current situation.
We've bought two cars in the past 5 years from Carvana and had a great experience both times
I don’t understand how Carvana works. Do they connect you to a local dealer that has what you’re looking for? How does one test drive a car? How to negotiate?

No, they are the dealer. You go there and test drive it like any other dealer. They have fixed, no haggle pricing, so no negotiation.

You can pick the car up or you can have it delivered for a fee (I think several hundred dollars). They give a 100-day warranty of their own in addition to any remaining manufacturers' warranty. Not sure what they cover. You have 7 days to return the car and get a refund, but I don't think that includes delivery charges and maybe some others.

Any feedback would be appreciated, especially if you've purchased an EV from them.
