A Guy Can Dream (Ted Cruz)

In a sea of recent lousy national and swing state polls, a poll out today by Emerson shows Cruz leading by a single point.  

When Al Franken was senator he once said, ""I like Ted Cruz more than most of my other colleagues like Ted Cruz. And I hate Ted Cruz."

Not getting my hopes up.  Just dreaming.

I saw Al Franken at City Winery Monday night doing his podcast live. He used that very line and it got some decent laughs. 

I’m so tired of getting teased with this crap. It happens every election cycle where everyone gets excited about maybe this is the year a Democrat beats someone like Ted Cruz or Mitch McConnell. Then they end up winning reelection by 5-10 points.

I got my hopes up for Colin Allred. Also hoped that Sherrod Brown would hold his seat. Add to that Kamala Harris winning. But, I'm convinced next time we'll do better. I mean let's face it, we can't do much worse.
