Server upgrade didn't happen

Data is transferring over to a new server.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.  Hopefully it will be seamless - but if there's any down time - at least you know it may have to do with our upgrade.

MOL kept timing out earlier today.  It seems fine now.

Earlier is when I had trouble logging in.

It's a little sloggy right now (6pm EDT).

I don't know if it is my setup or your work, but this platform is working faster than ever.

lol - glad it's working.  We're still not in the new server- it's taking more time then I had hoped.  The migration went smooth - most things are working.  But there's a bunch not working to flip the switch.  For the techies out there - it's a combination of linux upgrade and moving from mysql to mariaDB.  I'm working with a modified hosts file.  Most database issues have been fairly easy to resolve, but some lingering issues that have been harder to diagnose and resolve.

will try an upgrade tonight.  Cross your fingers - hopefully things will go smoothly.  But glitches may occur.

Site may be down after 1am EST in order the sync the 2 servers.  Upgraded another server recently and it was pretty seamless - but our configuration on here is a bit trickier.

can you just put a block on Pablo so he won’t keep interrupting the upgrade in the wee hours of the morning? Set it so he would automatically unblock at 6 am tomorrow…

It is 6:18 am and the site seems to be working just fine.  

This is still the old server - you should see a test thread - that's how you'll know it's the new one.

So, if you don't see a test discussion - anything posted here won't make it on to the new server.  It should be almost done propagating.  Not 100% sure if it will be successful.  We'll see.

I tried - was up all night - but we have this configuration that just didn't translate when installing the SSL certificates.  Back to the drawing board.

Blocked by Firefox earlier this morning, but just fine now.
