Revised Train Service - South Orange

Noting that the behemoth apt complex on Valley near the South Orange train station is almost complete, wondering whether they will revise the service at the South Orange station?  Seems like an awful lot of new people who will be jamming on to the trains.

NJT is usually reactive, not proactive. If there is a significant increase in ridership, they may put on additional trains, but frankly, I wouldn't count on it. There is only so much (train) traffic the tunnels can handle.

And I believe they are at that capacity, so any changes have to pull from somewhere else.

For that it's worth, I often have no seatmate on the 8:05 to Penn Station (which originates in Maplewood and only stops at Brick Church on the way), so there's room for a little bit of increase.

I wish they would at least add some cars to certain trains. I take the 8:24 from SO, which then goes direct to Penn. It has fewer cars than the 8:05 or the 8:35 and as a result it is always, always SRO.

That train and the 5:50 p.m. from Penn are terrible in that regard.
