I've got an inch on the lawn.

There was a dusting at Newark. That was a record?

 Records are somewhat arbitrary. A dusting of snow might be a record for Dec 17th while a foot isn't forDec 18th. 

Not much of a record.  I can recall snowfalls of almost a foot in December once or twice in the 33 years we've lived here.
