My grandson's prop. He is 16.

As I posted earlier, he wants to make stage props as a profession. This was made out of styrofoam.

As a theater director and former LARPer, that looks gorgeous. Let him know that's some of the best work I've seen. Would it stand up to a stage fight, I wonder?

I am speechless with amazement, that is astonishingly realistic and awesomely designed!

Down the road, he may want to get to know people at the McCarter Theater in Princeton. They hire people in scene carpentry and metal fabrication on a part-time, temp basis and maybe have internships. Same with other places like Paper Mill.

I want one!  Great photos too!

That is truly amazing! Is he interested in film making/acting or mainly the props?

Somewhat related, the Met Opera Guild has a set design workshop for HS students. It is set up as a field trip but maybe they would be open to bringing in an individual with high interest.

It is EVA foam so a bit sturdier than styro.
