Meet the Mets (For Mets Fans Only!)

All right. Well, it was a real fun second half of the season and postseason. Something we haven’t gotten to enjoy in a while.

We can talk offseason moves later, I guess.

Ya Gotta Believe!!

Incredible season. Maybe my favorite ever. Lots to look forward to, but it will not be the same as this season!

I agree with you guys.  I didn't expect them to make the playoffs, let alone get this far.  But it still leaves me a little bummed.  Lots of off season decisions to be made.

I know this is a Mets fan thread only, but I got completely into their run this month.  Loved everything about the team.  The whole OMG thing.  The crazy last second wins.  Gotta love Lindor.

Congrats to you real fans for a great season. LA just has too much ammo.  And then Tommy Edman plays like Albert Pujols??

I am the Edman, they are the Edmen, I am the walrus, Goo goo g' joob.

It probably wouldn't have made a difference, but it would have been nice not wasting two spots on Senga and Acuna. They should have kept Ottavino and Krasnick. They clearly needed more pitchers and with McNeil coming back there was no use for Acuna.

yes. Lots of guys on expiring contracts, especially pitchers. I have to believe Severino and Quintana are gone. Manaea will opt out, but I'm hopeful they'll re-sign him.

Among position players we have some young guys waiting in the wings like Acuña and Mauricio. With guys on rookie deals and so much $$ coming off the books there will be resources to restock.

It was a great season though, and the better team won. So it's hard to be too disappointed.

I’m going on the record saying I’d love to see Noah Syndergaard at Spring Training for the Mets next year. He brought a great vibe to the team and he’s only 32.

I wouldn't have lost a minute's sleep if the Mets had not signed Soto. Now that they have, I say, GAME ON.

I will not argue the deal's merits or its worth.

The bottom line is that the Mets significantly improved their roster.

There are still a lot of moves to be made, but in DS we trust.

did you think this was clever?

Plenty of room to add pitching.  180 mil off the books, Soto adds 50 mil back.  Best part is now Yankee fans, who yesterday wanted Soto, are bashing Soto as not good.

coincidentally, this article was published in Baseball America today:
