I grew up in the northeast. A new kid came to our school in 7th grade, he was from Dallas. He told me a story about how they could fry an egg on the sidewalk when it was really hot. It blew my 7th grade mind.
IN SC, all our mailboxes are at roadside, so it's not only hot enough to fry an egg on the sidewalk, but you can use your mailbox as a toaster oven.
Yesterday it was so hot in my house a couple of Hobbits came by and threw a ring into my living room.
