How Often and How do You Clean your Computer.

The sun shining in through the window made me realize how dusty my computer is.  I turned off the power and used a slightly damp washcloth to clean the desktop computer, screen, keyboard, and speakers.  I really did this and it is a little too early for April fool.  It made me wonder how often and how other people clean their computers.  Felix Unger on The Odd Couple would probably say that a clean computer is a happy computer.

I'm guessing your keyboard is black. If you had a white keyboard, you'd see how grungy they can get. Ewww. I scrub down my keyboard with alcohol wipes every month or so. Everything else is black or silver and I just dust occasionally. I should probably take alcohol wipes to my mouse but I can't see the grunge so it doesn't bother me.

I use the swiffer duster. It traps the dust without the hassle of wiping 

clean what now?

I keep a makeup brush next to my computer and use it to dust off the keyboard and screen very frequently.  Less frequently I use screenwipes to clean stuck on spots or whatever doesn't come off with a dusting.  

I use a dust cloth for the key board and screenclean for the screen, both as needed.

compressed air on the keyboard when the crumbs start to become visible. alcohol wipes on the keyboard when the grundge becomes visible. wipes on the screen when it becomes less visible.

I find it hard to get my screen pristine though. whatever I use to clean seems to leave streaks.

try eyeglass cleaners 

you mean the cloths? I have. They do work better than other stuff, but still leave streaks for some reason.

I use the spray then use the microfiber cloth I use for my glasses. With the computer off.

Don't use alcohol and/or disinfectants on a computer, especially the screen.  They will eventually degrade and damage the materials and surfaces.
