It's Coogan's best role in years. Kathryn Hahn is brilliant in it. The writing is whip-smart, and borders on genius. The only weak link is the son, who's kind of annoying, but, it's still one of the best shows on TV right now
I think it is a great commentary of the empty materialism/commercialism of our society. Great actors like Bradley Whitford, Ellen Bartkin and I always love watching Carrie Preston. Script seems pretty unique (not that I keep up with what is out there). Plus who knew Coogan could do a Bill Clinton Southern accent. The bit on the lobotomy reminds me how I feel about most TV audience shows.
