Flash Flood Watch continues Monday and Tuesday, Aug 13 & 14

Flash Flood Watch
Weather will continue today similar to last few days, with the potential for sudden, torrential showers.

Because the ground is saturated and the rivers and creeks are already high, any heavy shower could cause local flooding both at the site of the shower and downstream.  At this time, our local branch of the Rahway River is *not* flooded, but a heavy shower could cause street flooding, especially in Millburn, Springfield, and Cranford.

Also, the Passaic River is over the banks and will continue to flood through tomorrow in northern Essex County and into Passaic county at Pine Brook, Roseland, Caldwell, Fairfield, and Wayne.
