Auditions for The Strollers Production of 'Children of Eden'

AUDITIONS for The Strollers production of CHILDREN OF EDEN at The Burgdorff Center in Maplewood, NJ

The Strollers are seeking multi-ethnic, non-Equity singer/actors for the Stephen Schwartz musical, Children of Eden. AUDITIONS are Sun, Sept 10, from 2-5 PM and Mon, Sept 11, from 7-10 PM, with callbacks on Wed, Sept 13, at 7 PM at the Burgdorff Center in Maplewood, NJ/ Performances, the first three weekends in November: Fri & Sat, Nov 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, & 18 at 8 PM, and Sun, 5, 12, & 19 at 2 PM. Children prepare one verse of a short song and be ready to move. Adults prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo & ballad, be ready to move and to read from sides. Accompaniment provided.

Roles: Father (low B to solid high A – legit or operatic) or Mother (alto); Adam (tenor); Eve (mezzo/belt); Cain (tenor/pop/rock); Abel (tenor); Noah (high baritone/tenor); Mama Noah (mezzo/belt/Gospel); Japheth (tenor); Ham & Shem (tenor or baritone); Yonah (alto/mezzo/belt); Aphra & Aysha (alto or mezzo); and Storytellers (chorus) – adults and children ages 7 and older. Many featured parts are cast from the Storytellers, including Young Cain & Abel (boys 9 – 12) and soloists for Act II opener. Roles traditionally doubled by 1 actor will be divided. No pay.
