The Loving Story: NJCH Community Conversations

New Jersey Council for the Humanities Face to Face: Community Conversations The Loving Story (77 min,) The Loving Story is the moving account of Richard and Mildred Loving, who were arrested in 1958 for violating Virginia’s ban on interracial marriage. Their struggle culminated in a landmark Supreme Court decision, Loving v. Virginia (1967) which overturned anti-miscegenation laws in the United States. Following the film, Dr. Christopher Fisher, Associate Professor of History at The College of New Jersey, will facilitate a discussion. Co-sponsored by the Community Coalition on Race.
