Home Arts Showcase

Event Date: January 21st, 2024 at 1:00pm - 4:00pm
Address : 523 Ridgewood Road, Maplewood, NJ, USA
Town : Maplewood
Information:

Limited spots to view our popular Open Hearth Cooking event went quickly and that demonstration is now full. While we will use all available seating for walk-ins if possible, we do not anticipate that there will be any empty seats.

If you have tickets, please arrive for your seating on time as we cannot hold any empty seats. If you cannot use your tickets, you may pass them on to a friend or let us know at info@durandhedden.org. There will be many people happy to use those spots.

Whether or not you have tickets for the cooking event, please know that there is more going on at Durand-Hedden for the January Open House, which is focused on showcasing traditional home arts.

Patty Chrisman, Durand-Hedden Board member and a member of the Essex County Spinners, will demonstrate spinning on an antique spinning wheel. Kari Capone, creator/owner of The Spinning Hand, will show visitors the joy of knitting. There will also be demonstrations of butter churning and tasting of rustic bread; dough rolling with dough courtesy of Village Trattoria, Maplewood; and a last chance to catch the Potter's Marks exhibit and view the antique pottery display.

The Country Store will also be open.
